No tracking cookies, one consent entry
This website sets no cookies for advertising, analytics or user recognition, and it builds no user profiles. The only thing stored on your device is a single entry in your browser’s local storage (cookie-consent=ok), written when you dismiss the privacy notice at the bottom of the page. It records nothing but that decision, so the notice does not come back on every visit, and it is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
The fonts used (Unbounded and Manrope) are delivered from our own server — opening the page makes no connection to Google Fonts.
Opening the website
When this website is opened, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data: the address called up, date and time, the volume of data transferred, the referrer, browser type and operating system, and the shortened IP address. These data are technically necessary to deliver the page and to keep operation secure.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and undisturbed operation). The data are not merged with other data sources and are deleted automatically after a short period.
Hosting and delivery run through Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, on the basis of a data processing agreement and the EU standard contractual clauses.
Enquiry and application form
If you use the enquiry form or the application form, we process the details you enter — name, company, e-mail address, optionally a phone number, the type of enquiry, the selected material groups and your description of the application — in order to answer your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contractual relationship), for general enquiries Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. For applications it is § 26 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR.
Transmission runs technically through a form service that forwards the message as an e-mail to the TT-BC mailbox and acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. No user profile is created there. Your enquiry is stored for as long as it is needed to handle it and to meet statutory retention obligations; application documents are deleted at the latest six months after the procedure ends, unless you agree to longer storage.
Instead of the form you can reach us directly by e-mail or phone at any time.
Cookie-free access counting
To see which pages are found, we use our own, cookie-free access counting. Only the page called up, the source (referrer) and any campaign parameters from the address bar are transmitted. No cookies are set, no IP addresses are stored and no cross-device identifiers are formed. An assignment to a person is therefore not possible.
The signals are transmitted to inbox.becic.ch and evaluated there in aggregate form only. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The counting respects the browser setting „Do Not Track“: if it is active, no transmission takes place.
OpenStreetMap on the contact page
A map extract from OpenStreetMap is embedded on the contact page. When this extract loads, your IP address is transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation (St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom), because the map tiles are retrieved from there. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a findable address).

No disclosure, no third-country transfer
Your data are not sold, not passed on for advertising purposes and not used to build profiles. They are disclosed only to the processors named above (hosting, form delivery) and, where it is necessary to answer your enquiry, to the specific supplier or manufacturer concerned — and then only to the extent required.
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
Data subject rights
You have the right at any time to information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21). Any consent given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
