About

A desk between the buyers and the makers.

TT-BC Technische Textilien works where the technical textile chain usually breaks: between the company that needs a part to hold and the producer that could actually make it.

01 / The idea

Nobody in this industry is short of suppliers. Everybody is short of the right one.

Technical textiles are a specialist business with a general problem: the buyer knows the part, the producer knows the machine, and hardly anybody speaks both languages. The result is the familiar loop — a sample that is nearly right, an offer that cannot be compared, a norm that turns up too late, a single source that becomes a single point of failure.

TT-BC exists for exactly that gap. We take the application apart, write the specification, and then go into a network built over twenty years along that same application path to find the mill, coater, converter or machine builder who genuinely runs it. Consulting, trade and machinery are not three products here — they are three moves in the same project.

We produce nothing ourselves, and that is deliberate. A producer can only recommend its own machines. We can recommend the right ones.

Enquiries are answered by the person who also runs the project. There is no account manager in between and no ticket number — that is the upside of a small, specialised firm.

04 / Where we sit

Hof and Oberfranken — a textile region, not a postcode.

Upper Franconia is Bavaria’s most important region for technical textiles: the regional competence atlas OfraTex lists around 200 textile companies, and roughly half of all Bavarian textile jobs sit here. Weaving has been at home in the Hof area since the 18th century — today it is a cluster of niche world-market specialists.

Hof University runs degree programmes in Innovative Textiles and Sustainable Textiles, an Institute for Materials Science and the state textile testing office. Development, testing and qualified people are a short drive away — which is exactly why an office here can serve a worldwide network credibly.
